26 Cute and Curious Cat Behaviors as Told by their Pawrents

Cats are a strange bunch there is no denying that. Like thier canine counterparts they do come in all different shapes and sizes. But unlike their canine counterparts they come in a variety of styles. You have the outdoor cats, the indoor cats, the indoor cats who like to chill on the patio, the outdoor cats who also like to chill on the patio and be fed, the indoor cats who like to roam free during the day. There is no end to the variations.

And with all those colorful gradients of cat life are an ever expanding set of behaviors. Some sweet, some sour, all hilarious and heartwarming in their own way and today we are lucky enough to be blessed with a collection of them as told by the pawrents who are subjected to them on a daily basis. So get ready for one of the deepest dives into funny feline behavior that we have ever had the chance to share with you. Just make sure your cat child is no where nearby so that they do not get any bright (or not so bright) ideas.

    Mine has a different meow for each of us, and chirps when he's following you so you don't trip over him. Not my favorite thing but I love it.

  • Wow, that is one clever cat. And at that quite the caring cat. Most felines as much as they love their family would certainly not make up different meows for each member. Heck, if you gave a cat a mobile phone it would be more likely to block all family members than it would to assign individual ringtones for each one. We have hardly ever heard of such a loving cat.

    A Oreo will get up on our dining room table bench like a human for dinner time and sit with us during meals. It's the cutest thing.

    23 1 yells at me every time I sneeze. 2 listens for my drinking water sounds in the morning so he can run in and cuddle before I have to get out of bed except he can't tell time and mistakes my night time thirsts as awake for cuddles. 3 is part goat because he loves aggressively head butting to get attention.

  • Now this is a cat family. We have no idea how this unruly bunch were convinced to neatly line up like this but the descriptions are exactly what we have come to expect from cat kind and the kind of calamity they like to get up to. And if we were to give out prizes for the most troubling one of all it would definitely be to number two. Any cat who bases behavior upon when you are ‘awake’ is just evil. You end up with sleep paranoia.

    He loves playing tag. He'll run up behind me, tap or grab my calf with both paws, then pounce away expecting me to chase him. We do this several times a day.

    Right now, it's that he "herds" us all in the morning. Time to get up! Lots of meowing and bossing, back and forth between bedrooms everyone up? Waits at the top of the stairs until the last person comes down. Gets a bite to eat, then he's all "see ya folks, I've gotta get some sleep peace out."

    Our Martha walks all over us as the sun rises. Typically the first thing I see in the morning is Martha perched on my husband (see pic), perched on me, or stuffing her face in our mouths to smell our morning breath. She purrs so loud that it's what wakes me up.

    My cat likes to play fight, and despite being a fraction of my size she'll get in my path and start swinging at me. It always makes me laugh. Then we have cuddle time after.
